Josh Johnston, O.D.

Dr. Josh Johnston is a board-certified optometrist who is well trained in comprehensive optometric care. He specializes in the co-management of patients before and after surgical procedures and is committed to providing the highest level of care for his patients. His background includes extensive experience with LASIK, cataract surgery, and the most advanced corneal and refractive surgical procedures and technologies. Dr. Johnston renders care for patients with ocular diseases, ocular injuries, glaucoma, keratoconus, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome, and all other ocular diseases. He provides complete ocular health examinations and contact lens fittings, including soft and gas permeable lenses, bifocal contacts, and specialty fits for keratoconic patients.

Dr. Johnston attended Texas Christian University where he received his B.S. degree. He then went on to graduate from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He trained as an intern completing rotations at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta, Veterans Administration Medical Center in New York, Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital in San Diego, and The Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago. These rotations gave him the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of care including treatment and management of ocular disease, primary care, cataract and refractive surgery, and contact lens. Prior to joining Atlantis Eyecare, Dr. Johnston was the clinical director for a group ophthalmology practice in Atlanta, Georgia at Emory Crawford Long Hospital.

Dr. Johnston provides comprehensive medical optometric care for patients in addition to the co-management and collaborative treatment of patients with the experienced team of ophthalmologists at Atlantis Eyecare. Dr. Johnston is committed to providing his patients the highest quality of care and satisfaction.
